Brief History of the Department
The Department of Project Management was established on October 6, 2022, following the approval of the School of Management Sciences for academic operations by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This marked a significant milestone in the academic landscape of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa.
In its inaugural academic session, the department admitted two pioneer students for the 2022/2023 academic year, who were subsequently matriculated on May 25, 2023. The establishment of the Department of Project Management is driven by a mandate to train and produce professionals capable of making a positive impact across various sectors and organizations.
The quality of teaching within the Department of Project Management is consistently rated as excellent. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in project management, preparing them for a lifetime of professionalism and effective contributions to their respective fields.
