Currently an Associate Professor, Dr. Daniel Oluwaseun Akinyele received a Bachelor of Science degree (First Class) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a Master of Science degree (Distinction) in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough University, Leicestershire, U.K., and a PhD in Engineering (Renewable Energy) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He had a one-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Andrew and Erna Viterbi Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, where he led research in the aspect of Energy Systems Analysis and Policy. Dr. Akinyele was among the first cohort of the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences -Next Einstein Initiative (AIMS-NEI) awardees of small grants for Climate Change in 2018. He was also awarded a 2019-2021 Next Einstein Forum (NEF) Fellow by AIMS and this provided him with an exciting platform to present his research at the NEF Global Gathering in December 2020 – Africa’s largest science gathering. Dr. Akinyele is registered by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). His research interests include renewable energy systems modelling and simulation, microgrid design and planning, life-cycle impact analysis, energy transitions and sustainability, and he has over 50 publications to his credit both in high-impact international journals and peer-reviewed technical conferences.
Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State government in 2008. It was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH).
It is a technology-based institution, which aims at providing the needed manpower training for industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
