A native of Ibadan, Oyo State, Dr. Oyelude holds a First Degree from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) Osun State; and, Second Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State.
She is a member of the Nigerian Library Association, American Library Association, the International Literacy Association and a fellow of the International Association for Social Science Information Services and Technology (IASSIST) and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) among others.
Dr. Adetoun A. Oyelude is a Chartered Librarian (CLN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Library Association (FNLA). Her research interests are in Library Administration, Cataloguing, Gender Studies, Indigenous Knowledge Preservation and Reading Research. She has published numerous articles in journals and chapters in books locally and internationally in these areas of research.
