The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Foluso Adetuyi, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, urged the Mathematical Science team to accept defeat graciously and maintain unity among themselves as a display of sportsmanship.

The University's Sports Director, Mr. Tayo Adeoye, appealed for increased funding to support sporting activities in the university.
Adeoye also requested a 500-seater pavilion to accommodate the student population and spectators, ensuring a comfortable experience during sports events.
