This move aims to strengthen the university's human resource capacity across key departments.
A. TEACHING POSITIONS
i. Lecturer I in Industrial Chemistry
The candidate must possess a good first degree, not below Second Class, Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Ph.D in Industrial Chemistry or related field with a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and student supervision in a recognised University.
ii. Lecturer II in (i) Mechanical Engineering (ii) Meteorology
The candidate must possess a good first degree, not below Second Class, Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Ph.D in the subject area from a reputable University.
B. NON-TEACHING POSITIONS
i. Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 9)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second class lower division) and a Master’s degree in Arts, Social/Management Sciences or humanities from a recognised University, or conversion from the Executive Cadre to the Administrative Cadre plus evidence of completion/exemption of NYSC with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
ii. Administrative Officer II (CONTISS 7)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second class lower division) in Arts, Social/Management Sciences or humanities from a recognised University, plus evidence of completion/exemption of NYSC.
iii. Higher Executive Officer (CONTISS 7)
Candidate must possess a university degree or A.C.I.S or HND in the relevant field.
iv. Executive Officer (CONTISS 6)
Candidate must possess an OND in the relevant field or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification experience OR 3 subjects at one sitting at the H.S.C. or GCE (A/L) plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.
v. Assistant Executive Officer (CONTISS 5)
Candidate must possess an OND in the relevant field or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification experience OR 3 subjects at one sitting at the H.S.C. or GCE (A/L) plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
vi. Accountant II
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second-class lower division) in Accounting from a recognised University, plus evidence of completion/exemption of NYSC.
vii. Senior Accountant (CONTISS 9)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second-class lower division) in Accounting from a recognised University, with two (2) years of working experience and must be registered with relevant professional bodies such as ACA, ANAN, ACCA, etc.
viii. Chief Accountant (CONTISS 13)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second-class lower division) in Accounting from a recognised University, with nine (9) years of working experience and must be registered with relevant professional bodies such as ACA, ANAN, ACCA, etc.
ix. Academic Planning Officer II (CONTISS 8)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second-class lower division) in any of the following fields: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Educational Management with a bias in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics, plus at least 3 years of experience in the Planning Unit of a University. Or a Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines.
x. Store Officer (CONTISS 6)
Candidates must possess the results of the Final Examination in the Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
xi. Builder II (CONTISS 7)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree or equivalent in Building, registrable with relevant professional bodies.
xii. Workshop Supervisor (CONTISS 6)
Candidate must possess the Primary School Leaving Certificate, plus Trade Text Class 1 in the trade with at least 12 years of experience.
xiii. Higher Technical Officer (CONTISS 6)
Candidate must possess an OND obtained from a recognised institution, plus at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
xiv. System Analyst Grade II (CONTISS 7)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree in Computer Science/Informatics or related discipline.
xv. Library Officer (CONTISS 6)
Candidates must possess WASC, plus a Diploma in Library Studies.
xvi. Sport Coach II (CONTISS 7)
Candidates must possess a good honours degree in Physical Education or NCE/Certificate in Physical Education or equivalent qualification with coaching ability in a specific sport with 2 years post-qualification experience.
xvii. Health Superintendent (CONTISS 7)
Candidates must possess an ND in Environmental Health Technology from an approved School of Health Technology with at least 7 years of experience or an HND in Environmental Health Technology.
xviii. Assistant Health Superintendent (CONTISS 6)
Candidates must possess an ND in Environmental Health Technology from an approved School of Health Technology with at least 5 years of experience.
xix. Procurement Officer II (CONTISS 7)
Candidates must possess a good honours degree not below second-class lower division in any of the following areas: Economics, Agriculture. Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Law, Insurance, etc., plus a Certificate in Public Procurement with 3 years cognate experience.
xx. Security Officer (CONTISS 8)
Candidates must possess a university degree or be an Ex-Superintendent of Police with at least 5 years of experience in the Security of any higher institution.
