Engr. Prof. Isaac Oladejo Olaniyan is a staff of the Department of Civil Engineering. He holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in 2010 in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, after obtaining a Master of Engineering degree (M.Eng.) in 2006 from Bayero University, Kano, specializing in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering and B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Federal University, Oye-Ekiti. He has Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 1995 in Geological Science, specializing in Applied Geophysics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Registration of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN, 2007), and a Registered Geoscientist with the Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG, 2003). He is also a member of several related professional associations, such as Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and the Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH). His research focus centred mainly on surface and ground water flow and contamination modelling, basin hydrology, hydro-geophysics, geotechnics and environmental engineering. He has 37 publications in reputable local and international journals, in addition to several other presentations at conferences. He has won three TETFund grants, and has attended conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria.
Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State government in 2008. It was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH).
It is a technology-based institution, which aims at providing the needed manpower training for industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
